Active Club International Service Projects
Overview and Guidelines
Rotary’s 36,000 clubs and over 1 million members serve communities around the world, each with unique concerns and needs. Rotarians have continually adapted and improved the way they respond to those needs, taking on a broad range of service projects. The most successful and sustainable Rotary service tends to fall within one of the following seven areas:
The following types of requests will not be considered:
Donation requests will be considered by the International Committee and then submitted, with their recommendations, to the board of directors for final consideration. In some cases, the organization requesting a donation may be asked to make a presentation at a weekly meeting of the club to educate the membership about their project or program.

- Guatemala Amigos de Guatemala, support of three primary school students
- Haiti HANWASH Léogâne, water system improvement planning through completion
- Mexico Mérida, Mision de Amistad, replacement of cistern to provide a reliable water supply & roof repairs
- Ukraine Zaporizhzhia and Cherkasy regions - emergency power equipment, first aid kits, youth mental health services
- Africa Rwanda- M2E Foundation (Maximize Meaningful Education). Support of two primary schools with an educational specialist
Overview and Guidelines

The most successful and sustainable Rotary service tends to fall within one of the following seven areas:
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water and sanitation
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Economic and community development
- Protecting the environment
The following types of requests will not be considered:
- Political fundraising, candidates, or for political purposes
- Programs that promote religion
- Programs that limit diversity or inclusion
- Private foundations
- Ongoing operating expenses
- Salaries, benefits or administrative costs of start-up programming
- A fundraising event that benefits one individual
