International Service

As citizens of the world, Rotary’s 36,000 clubs and over 1 million members serve communities around the world, in a myriad countries, each community with unique concerns and needs. Rotarians continually adapt and improve the way they respond to those communities’ needs, devoting their efforts to a broad range of service projects and causes.
The Healdsburg Noon Rotary’s International Service Committee reflects our Club’s determination to strengthen and improve its own local community, as well as the wider communities of which we are an integral part, particularly in areas of the globe with the greatest needs.

Rotary International addresses itself to causes in the following areas (https://www.rotary.org/en/our-causes):
  • Ending polio worldwide
  • Promoting peace, preventing war, and working towards conflict resolution
  • Fighting and treating disease
  • Providing clean water and modern sanitation
  • Improving maternal and child health
  • Supporting education and literacy
  • Growing local economies and developing self-sustaining communities
  • Protecting the environment
The causes supported by Healdsburg Noon Rotary’s International Service Committee mirror those listed by Rotary International.
