PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I am President of the Healdsburg Rotary Club for the year 2012-2013 and would like to share with you who we are and what we do.

Healdsburg Rotary Club is one of more than 34,000 Rotary Clubs worldwide.  We are a dedicated group of women and men from the local area who represent a wide spectrum of professions and range from young professionals to retirees.  Rotary’s motto is “Service above Self” and we all share a common desire to give back to our community.

We volunteer and provide financial support for worthy causes locally as well as worldwide.  Our local efforts range from scholarships and support for our schools to financial help for various healthcare initiatives in our community.  Globally, our efforts range from education and clean drinking water programs in Latin America to support for Rotary International’s long-held project to eradicate polio worldwide.

Our Club meets at noon every Monday.  The meetings offer topical speakers each week and also provide an opportunity to enjoy lunch with old and new friends.  We are always looking for new members who are interested in giving back to our community as well as impacting important issues elsewhere in the world. 

We welcome you to visit one of our meetings to see what a rewarding experience being a member of Rotary can be.
