Welcome to the NEW Rotary Club of Healdsburg Website

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

I am very proud and honored to be the Rotary Club of Healdsburg President for the year 2011/2012. This year’s Rotary International theme from our RI President, Kalyan Banerjee, is Reach Within to Embrace Humanity. Our service work in the Rotary Club of Healdsburg this year will underscore this theme. President Banerjee has also been quoted as saying that "Rotary has the strength of a government and the tenderness of a parent". I can think of no better way to describe my personal reflections of Rotary since I joined in 2005.

Rotary International and its Clubs throughout the world have taken on some pretty significant tasks including the eradication of Polio. This endeavor is extremely close to finally being completed. The Rotary Club of Healdsburg has and will continue to raise funds and put forth the effort needed to see that this occurs. We will even paint our hair GREEN on St Patrick's Day to prove it.

The Rotary Club of Healdsburg is now heading into its 77th year of service. We will continue to provide local scholarships and hands-on project support in our town, in our district and the world. I encourage you to review the other sections of this website that will inform you even further of our donations and future investments in people and projects both local and international.   To fund all this, the Rotary Club of Healdsburg relies on an annual major fund raising event, This event, held in December is called The Annual Crab Feed & Silent and Live Auction. Please plan to attend this wonderful event and place December 10th, 2011 on your calendar. I am looking forward to working hard with our fabulous club members to make sure we can accomplish our goals for the year and also have a “BLAST” doing it.  The Rotary Club of Healdsburg (meets at noon on Mondays) is looking for new members. We welcome those individuals who want to make a difference in the community, region and world by putting “Service Above Self”. I have met some of the best people in my life being a Healdsburg Rotarian and have benefited personally from giving back to this community.  My Best Regards,

David E. (Dave) KenadyRotary Club of Healdsburg President 2011/2012
